About the job SENIOR PROJECT ESTIMATORSome of the essential duties and responsibilities include:Reviewing proposal specifications and drawings and attending pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimateProficiently preparing estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, and equipment costs and applying them to the complete scope of workReviewing/researching historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compiling summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimatesIncorporating historical data into unit and man-hour figuresActively participating in developing bid package estimate documentsProficiently maintaining files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.Creating, sending, and managing subcontractor requests for proposalReviewing design options and recommending the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materialsFollowing awarded contracts as assigned may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring materials, etc.Performing other duties as directedTo qualify for this position, you must have:A Bachelor's degree (B.
