TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Pediatrics RN in Dickinson, North Dakota, 58601!About The PositionJob Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Medical Surgical/Pediatric Nursing **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour Day/Night Rotate - 3x12s, first to float, weekends as needed **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year **License:** Required for submission **Certifications:** BLS, PALS **Must-Have:** Strong communication, motivation, approachability, teamwork skills, and the ability to ask questions when unsure. **Job Description:** - Work in a unit with 17 beds; 14 inpatient and 3 observation. - Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night. - Provide care for adults and pediatric patients with diagnoses such as UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. - RNs are not required to titrate drips but will manage electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics. - Serve as a charge nurse with assignment responsibilities, ensuring proper workflow. - Collaborate with nurse aides/patient care techs, with a ratio of 2:15 during the day and 1:15 at night. - Coordinate care for pediatric patients in consultation with on-call pediatricians. - No involvement in ventilator management; occasional BiPAP managed by respiratory therapy. - Apply telemetry monitors; ICU staff will read strips. - Participate in self-scheduling with 7-7 shifts, and assist in ED/ICU as needed. - Follow navy blue scrub dress code. - Complete one 12-hour shift of department-specific orientation, with the possibility of an additional night and day orientation if needed. - Utilize the Meditech charting system. - No holiday requirement; weekend work required as needed. - Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.25935536EXPPLATJob RequirementsRequired for OnboardingACLS - AHABLS - AHACore CompetencyPALS - AHAPharmacologySkills ChecklistSpecialty ExamAbout Cynet HealthYour travel nursing adventure begins here.
