Job DescriptionJob Title: Test ProctorType: Part-Time / Side GigDuration: August to December (1 event per month)Pay: $20 per hourJob Overview:We are seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals to join our team as Test Proctors for monthly testing events from August through December. This role is an excellent side gig for those who enjoy working in a structured environment and have a keen eye for detail.Key Responsibilities:Event Preparation:Visit the testing venue 1 day before the event to set up the testing environment. Ensure all necessary materials (test booklets, answer sheets, pencils) are available and organized. Verify the functioning of any equipment (computers, projectors) required for the test. During the Test:Greet and check in test-takers, verify identification, and provide seating assignments. Clearly explain test rules and procedures to participants. Distribute and collect test materials. Monitor test-takers to ensure adherence to testing rules and prevent any form of cheating. Address any questions or concerns from test-takers in accordance with the test guidelines. Post-Test Duties:Collect and organize completed test materials. Ensure the testing environment is clean and all materials are accounted for. Submit any required reports or incident logs to the test coordinator. Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. Experience: Previous experience in an educational or testing environment is a plus, but not required. Skills:Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a variety of situations. Detail-oriented and observant. Basic computer skills for managing test-related equipment. Physical Requirements:Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to move and set up testing materials. Additional Information:Schedule: One testing event per month, typically lasting 4-6 hours. Exact dates and times will be provided in advance. Location: Testing events will be held at the NRG Center and Dobie High School. Compensation: $20 per hour, paid following each testing event.
