Accountant- Financial Service

Our client, a midtown NYC, international broker-dealer seeks an Accountant. This is an Associate level position and will report to the firm's CFO. Opportunity to work a hybrid schedule after initial training. Responsibilities Participate in month-end close, prepare entries, reconcile general ledger and review balance sheets Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations, ensuring regulatory compliance and internal controls Prepare initial drafts of annual and semi-annual financial statements, regulatory filings and participate in testing Recommend procedures to improve efficiency, process payments and review expense reports Assist CFO updating policies and procedures Participate in the delivery of information for the annual external audit of broker-dealer books and records Special projects Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related major 2+ years of Financial Services accounting experience Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS Ability to work with back office, including Compliance, IT and Operations SIE and Series 99 required within 3 months of hire Salary: $85-110k with discretionary bonus and excellent benefits J-18808-Ljbffr
