SPPM Implementation Project ManagerJob Duration: 9+ monthsRemote RoleClient is seeking a highly experienced consultant to lead the selection and implementation of a new enterprise Strategic Portfolio and Project Management (SPPM) tool. The organization is transitioning from Microsoft Project Online and requires accelerated selection, data migration, and deployment to ensure continuity of portfolio and project data. This role will partner with Senior Vice Presidents through Project Managers and direct supporting PMs. Executive presence, structured facilitation expertise, and prior enterprise SPPM deployment experience are required.ResponsibilitiesPhase 1: Requirements Gathering & Tool SelectionFacilitate structured requirements sessions across IT, clinical operations, finance, strategy, PMO, and executive leadershipTranslate business, clinical, and operational needs into clear functional and non-functional requirementsDefine evaluation criteria and guide assessment of SPPM platforms aligned to governance and regulatory considerationsLead vendor demos, scoring, and final selection processAdvise on migration strategy, sequencing risks, and preservation of historical dataPhase 2: Implementation, Migration & Enablement Lead configuration and deployment of the selected SPPM platformBuild a strategic initiative management framework providing visibility into progress, timelines, risks, and barriersOversee data migration and validation of legacy project and portfolio dataGuide integrations with enterprise systems where appropriateDevelop and deliver training, onboarding, and adoption strategiesEstablish governance alignment and sustainable operating modelDirect and coordinate supporting Project Managers to meet September 2026 deadlineRequirements Proven experience leading enterprise SPPM tool selection and end-to-end implementationDemonstrated success migrating from Microsoft Project Online or similar legacy platformsStrong executive facilitation skills with credibility at Senior VP and leadership levelsExperience in large, matrixed, regulated environments (healthcare strongly preferred)Expertise in portfolio governance, change management, and enterprise adoptionAbility to operate under accelerated timelines and deliver large-scale deployments by fixed deadlinesPolished communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
