The PA functions under physician supervision and may participate in outpatient, procedural, or emergency care. Ideal candidates have solid clinical skills, experience in urgent/emergent care, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Key Responsibilities:Conduct physical exams, collect patient history, and document medical dataOrder, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs)Perform therapeutic procedures: injections, immunizations, suturing, wound careDevelop patient care plans with supervising physicians and maintain EMR documentationProvide patient and family education on treatment, preventive care, and post-care instructionsAssist in rounding, pre/post-op care, surgical first assist, discharges, transfers, and admissions as needed Minimum Qualifications:California Physician Assistant License - Required at hireGraduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program - RequiredNational Certification (NCCPA) - Required at hireBasic Life Support (BLS) - RequiredNational Provider Identifier (NPI) - Required at hire Additional Requirements:Fluoroscopy Permit required within 18 months if applicable (Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, Radiation Oncology)Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environmentDepartment-specific procedure competency as needed Preferred Qualifications:1-2 years of PA experience in Urgent Care or Emergency DepartmentFamiliarity with acute care procedures, triage, and surgical assist techniques Required Skills & Competencies:Clinical examination and diagnostic reasoningAcute care and emergency managementPatient triage and procedural skillsStrong EMR/documentation proficiencyEffective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teamsKnowledge of safety protocols, compliance, and infection controlRecruiter Submission Template:Full Name:Degree & University:Have you graduated from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program or will you have graduated by date of hire?
