Job Title: Physician Assistant - Roseville Urgent Care/Emergency (Evening/32 or 36)Location: Roseville, CA 95661Shift: Evening - 32 or 36 hours/weekWeek 1: Sun 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Mon, Thu, Fri 12:30 PM - 8:30 PMWeek 2: Mon, Tue, Wed 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, Sat 10:00 AM - 6:00 PMEmployment Type: Full-TimeFacility Type: Onsite | Urgent Care | Emergency DepartmentThe Physician Assistant (PA) provides high-quality, efficient, team-based, patient-focused care under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities may include managing patients in the office, hospital, ED, or perioperative setting, first assisting in surgeries, performing urgent care-specific procedures, and supporting departmental operations. Evening and weekend work hours are required, and the PA must be able to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive physical examinations, review patient history, and compile medical datadminister or order diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs) and interpret resultsPerform therapeutic procedures: suturing, wound care, injections, immunizations, infection managementPerform urgent care and department-specific diagnostic or therapeutic proceduresDevelop and implement patient management plans and document all care in EMREducate and counsel patients and families on preventive care and treatment plansFacilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges as neededFirst assist in surgeries or perform other applicable proceduresRound on inpatients and conduct pre-/post-operative evaluationsSupport supervising physicians with on-call responsibilities as applicableCollaborate with clinical teams on performance improvement initiativesMinimum Qualifications:Minimum 1 year of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department (some listings indicate preference for 3 years; 1 year minimum required)Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant programCalifornia Physician Assistant License - Required at hireNational Provider Identifier (NPI) - Required at hirePhysician Assistant National Certificate (e.g., NCCPA) - Required at hireBasic Life Support (BLS) - Requireddditional Requirements:Fluoroscopy Permit required or must be obtained within 18 months (Orthopedics, IR, Radiation Oncology only)Department-specific procedure competency may be requiredMust be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environmentMust be willing to work onsite (Roseville or Folsom if needed)Relocation assistance: Local onlySponsorship: Not availablePreferred Qualifications:Experience working independently in urgent care or acute care settingsStrong collaborator and team playerbility to work efficiently in high-volume environmentsRequired Skills & Competencies:Clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoningcute care and emergency patient managementTriage and procedural skillsEMR documentation proficiencyEffective communication within multidisciplinary teamsKnowledge of compliance, safety, and infection control protocolsRecruiter Submission TemplateFull Name:Degree & University:Do you have at least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant in Urgent Care or Emergency Department?
