Director of Clinical OperationsProMedix Health | Santa Ana, CA | On-Site | $140,000 – $180,000About ProMedixProMedix Health is a virtual care platform delivering RPM and CCM programs to patients through partnerships with primary care physicians, IPAs, and health systems. We combine clinical staffing, operational infrastructure, and proprietary technology to enable continuous care management outside traditional office visits. We are in an active growth phase and building a healthcare data and AI platform designed to identify early indicators of disease progression and acute health events.The RoleThe Director of Clinical Operations owns the operational and compliance infrastructure of ProMedix's care management programs. You will manage the nursing and care management teams, enforce CMS documentation standards, build the SOPs that make the operation scalable, and ensure every patient encounter supports both clinical quality and compliant billing. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations.The right candidate is a clinically credentialed RN who has grown into operations and management, is fluent in CMS requirements for RPM and CCM, and is energized by building clinical systems in a fast-growing company. Bedside clinicians without operations experience and administrators without clinical credentials are equally not the right fit — we need both.Core ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & PerformanceManage nursing staff and care coordinators: supervision, performance accountability, coaching, and developmentSet and monitor productivity standards: panel capacity, documentation completion, patient engagement, and alert response timesRecruit and onboard clinical staff as the team scales; build training and onboarding programsCMS Compliance & DocumentationOwn CMS compliance across all CCM and RPM programs - documentation standards, billing alignment, and audit readiness at all timesConduct regular internal audits; identify deficiencies, implement corrections, and track remediation to closureTrain clinical teams on documentation expectations that support medical necessity and produce defensible recordsWork with billing and revenue cycle partners to ensure documentation consistently supports billed servicesClinical Workflows, SOPs & CredentialingBuild and maintain SOPs for all clinical workflows: onboarding, monitoring, care plan development, escalation, and disenrollmentEnsure workflows are consistent, scalable, and compliant across all physician partnersManage the enrollment-to-clinical handoff and resolve workflow bottlenecks before they affect outcomes or billingEnsure licensure and credentialing requirements remain current for all clinical staffPerformance ReportingMonitor key indicators: nurse productivity, patient engagement, monitoring activity, care management time, alert response times, and patient retentionProvide leadership with clear, regular visibility into clinical program performanceRequired BackgroundYou must have:Active RN license in California, in good standing - BSN required5+ years of clinical operations or care management leadership experienceWorking knowledge of CMS requirements for CCM and RPM - compliant, billable, and audit-ready documentationDemonstrated ability to manage and develop a clinical teamExperience building clinical documentation standards, SOPs, and workflows in a compliance-sensitive environmentFamiliarity with EHR systems in a care management contextComfort operating in a build-phase environment where processes are actively evolvingUseful but not required:MSN or advanced clinical or healthcare administration degreeExperience with Medicare Advantage, value-based care, or telehealth environmentsPrior involvement in CMS audit preparation or formal compliance program managementYou'll Fit Here IfYou consider clinical credibility and operational discipline equally part of your professional identityDocumentation quality is a standard you hold without being askedYou're energized by building systems, not just running themYou can hold a team accountable while doing the coaching work that prevents the same miss next monthYou want to build something meaningful in chronic care - not inherit a legacy program and maintain itCompensation & Benefits$140,000 – $180,000 annually (California Pay Transparency Act, SB 1162)Performance-based bonusMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchLife insuranceThe exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.Work Location: 100% on-site, Santa Ana, CA.
