Mechanical TechnicianThis role focuses on disassembling, repairing, and reassembling printer components, ensuring each unit meets high quality standards before it is shipped back to customers. You will work with small mechanical and electronic parts, follow detailed procedures and schematics, and perform thorough testing to confirm that all repaired components function correctly. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and a consistent, detail-oriented approach in a production environment. Repetitive duties but focusing on quality and not quantity.Monday - Friday 7am - 4:30pmStarting between $18-20/hourResponsibilitiesDisassemble printer units and mechanical assemblies into individual components for inspection and repair.Clean mechanical and electronic parts thoroughly to prepare them for reassembly and testing.Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic components to identify issues and determine appropriate repair methods.Rebuild and reassemble printer components and subassemblies according to procedures, blueprints, and schematics.Perform functional tests on repaired parts and printers to ensure they operate correctly before shipping.Prepare completed units and components for shipping, including final checks and proper packaging.Follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards throughout the repair and assembly process.Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools safely and effectively during assembly and repair tasks.Perform small parts assembly, including wiring and wire harness assembly, crimping, and soldering as needed.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to assemble and troubleshoot components.Conduct quality checks at each stage of the process to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency.Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle equipment and components with care.Work productively and independently while meeting production goals and deadlines.Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent workflow and customer commitments.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
