Java Software Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java application development and a strong passion for AI-powered software engineering. This role will play a key part in designing, building, and optimizing AI-driven development workflows, coding agents, and engineering platforms that improve software delivery speed, quality, and consistency across the organization.You'll work closely with engineering leaders, product teams, and stakeholders to drive innovation while contributing to the development of scalable enterprise applications.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions that align with business requirements and architectural standards.Lead continuous improvement of the AI-assisted development ecosystem, including coding agents, prompts, tools, workflows, and integrations.Build and optimize AI-powered development workflows and agentic systems.Develop and maintain instructions, plugins, skills, and tool integrations that enhance engineering productivity.Support AI-driven, spec-based development processes from requirements through implementation and validation.Create and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests.Troubleshoot, enhance, and support existing applications while identifying opportunities for technical improvement.Drive architectural and technical decisions across development initiatives.Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices.Mentor developers and help elevate team performance through coaching and knowledge sharing.Collaborate with Agile teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Contribute to Agile process improvements and engineering excellence initiatives.Qualifications8+ years of experience in Java web application development.Strong hands-on experience with:JavaSpring Framework / Spring BootHibernateRESTful Web ServicesJUnit, Mockito, EasyMockExperience developing multi-tier web applications and enterprise systems.Deep interest and practical experience with:Generative AIAI coding assistantsLLM-based applicationsAgents, prompts, and tool integrationsUnderstanding of AI engineering concepts such as:Context windowsToken managementTool orchestrationAgent workflowsExperience integrating AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar into the software development lifecycle.Strong experience with:Agile/Scrum methodologiesCI/CD pipelinesTest-Driven Development (TDD)Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsFront-end development experience with:AngularJavaScriptHTML5CSSjQuerySpring MVCAutomated testing experience with:CucumberSeleniumPlaywrightExperience with:AWSMavenJenkinsJBossTomcatExposure to AI-assisted rapid development methodologies ("Vibe Coding").Proven success evaluating and adopting emerging technologies and mentoring teams on modern engineering practices.
