We combine AI solutions, commercial expertise, and complex business logic to address federal, state, and local government agencies’ biggest challenges.Job SummaryAs a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will lead the design and development of modern, end-to-end web applications for Thoriva’s AI-enabled enterprise solutions. This role sits at the intersection of front-end engineering, backend services, user experience, cloud-native development, accessibility, performance, security, and AI-enabled grants and benefits program management.You will work with product, engineering, data, security, and domain teams to turn complex program requirements into reliable, secure, scalable, and auditable digital capabilities across the full stack. The ideal candidate has strong experience building responsive user interfaces alongside APIs, microservices, integrations, workflow services, and enterprise-grade data services, and is comfortable owning a feature from database to browser.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain full stack features spanning responsive web interfaces, backend services, APIs, and integration components.Build scalable end-to-end capabilities to support eligibility review, fraud detection, case management, reviewer queues, audit trails, alerts, and reporting workflows.Develop reusable front-end components, state management patterns, and design-system-aligned UI alongside RESTful APIs, event-driven services, batch processing components, and business logic.Partner with data, AI/ML, product, and design teams to surface model outputs, risk scores, confidence ratings, evidence packages, and reviewer actions in intuitive, explainable user experiences.Build secure and auditable data access patterns for sensitive program, eligibility, claims, provider, transaction, and case data.Implement authentication, role-based access, service-level security, logging, exception handling, and operational monitoring across the stack.Ensure applications meet accessibility (Section 508 / WCAG), usability, responsiveness, and performance standards.Support integration with databases, data warehouses, message queues, file interfaces, external APIs, identity providers, and cloud services.Lead and participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, sprint planning, and release activities.Mentor mid-level and junior developers, set engineering standards, and raise the quality bar for the team.Create technical documentation, API specifications, component documentation, implementation notes, deployment instructions, and support runbooks.Work with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to support deployment, scalability, performance, and production readiness.Troubleshoot production issues, improve system reliability, and optimize front-end and backend performance.Required Qualifications7–10 years of experience in full stack, front-end, or backend software engineering, or a closely related role.Hands-on experience designing and building both modern web user interfaces and backend services, APIs, or microservices.Strong programming experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern front-end framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.Strong programming experience with one or more backend languages such as Node.js, Java, Python, C#, .NET, Go, or similar technologies.Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of REST APIs, service-oriented architecture, microservices, authentication, authorization, logging, and error handling.Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, responsive design, cross-browser behavior, accessibility, and front-end performance optimization.Experience building secure, scalable, and maintainable applications in a production environment.Familiarity with Agile delivery, CI/CD practices, source control, automated testing, and release management.Ability to translate business and technical requirements into reliable end-to-end designs and implementation plans.Strong communication skills and ability to work with product owners, architects, designers, data engineers, ML engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsCloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is highly preferred.Experience with containers, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless services, API gateways, message queues, and cloud-native application patterns.Familiarity with AI/ML model integration, risk scoring services, reviewer queues, audit trails, explainability, and human-in-the-loop workflows.Experience with design systems, component libraries, data visualization, or complex dashboard and workflow interfaces.Experience with secure data handling, PII/PHI, encryption, secrets management, compliance, and audit requirements.Experience with event-driven architecture, workflow orchestration, rules engines, or case management platforms.Experience working with onshore/offshore delivery teams.Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.Key SkillsFull Stack EngineeringReact / VueJavaScript / TypeScriptNode.js / Java / PythonAPI DevelopmentMicroservicesSQL and NoSQL DatabasesCloud-Native DevelopmentREST APIsEvent-Driven ArchitectureAccessibility and Responsive DesignSecurity and Access ControlIntegration ServicesAudit TrailsReviewer QueuesCase ManagementPublic-Sector Program Integrity
