SLC -Machine Operator
SummaryThe Machine Operator provides day-to-day support to Supervisors and Management to meet production, quality, and safety requirements. This role is responsible for operating and supporting production processes, performing equipment-related tasks, and completing general labor duties as assigned. The Machine Operator may rotate between workstations and assist across departments based on business needs.Essential Duties / ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment and processes as neededComplete pre-operational checks and ensure equipment is functioning properlyMaintain equipment and perform basic cleaning, inspection, and lubrication (CIL) tasksIdentify and communicate production or equipment issues to managementPerform minor troubleshooting and support resolution of technical issuesFollow production schedules and meet required productivity expectationsEnsure products meet quality and specification requirementsAccurately complete production records and documentationMinimize waste and maintain efficiencyFollow GMPs, safety policies, and proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work areaHandle raw and/or cooked product as requiredSupport material movement and general labor tasksRotate between job assignments and assist in other departmentsTrain and support team members as assignedPerform other duties as assignedQualification RequirementsMust be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.Education and/or ExperiencePrior manufacturing or production experience preferredKnowledge of GMPs and safety standards preferredAbility to follow policies, procedures, and specificationsLanguage SkillsAbility to speak, read, and write basic EnglishAbility to communicate and complete documentationMathematical SkillsBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAbility to work with percentages and countsPhysical DemandsPerform manual labor and operate equipmentLift 25–45 lbs frequently and up to 50–75 lbs occasionallyStand and walk for extended periodsUse required PPEVisual abilities including close and distance visionWork EnvironmentExposure to machinery and production environmentsCold, wet, or humid conditions possibleNoise levels at or above 85 dBWork ScheduleShift based on business needs; overtime may be requiredAt Daily’s, our mission is to bring excellence to the table.
