Human Resource Management InternshipThe State of Florida is seeking motivated individuals to join our workforce. Our internship opportunities offer bright, highly motivated college students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the operations of state government while obtaining valuable on-the-job training. As an HR intern, your responsibilities may include the following: Contributing to recruitment efforts. Supporting HR administration functions, including special projects as assigned to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the agency. Collaborate cross-functionally with the HR team to understand and identify areas of process improvement (i.e., onboarding, streamlining processes, etc.). Research, compiling, and analyzing HR-related queries and data. Maintaining personnel files ensuring compliance with record retention requirements. Applications are accepted year-round. Internships may be paid or unpaid and there is no guarantee of employment. Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. General knowledge of various employment laws and practices. Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR work. Ability to work independently as well as with others. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access...) Minimum qualifications: Must be currently enrolled or graduated within the last twelve months from an accredited college or university degree program. No experience required for this position.
