This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of technology, customer insights, and transportation systems. You will play a key role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of products that help solve complex mobility challenges.Location: Remote in the US or Canada, or hybrid near a Jacobs officeKey ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap Execution:Develop and clearly communicate a prioritized product roadmap aligned with StreetLlight's mission, customer needs, and business objectives.Own the complete product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer challenges, and growth opportunities.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate effectively with Product Marketing, Sales, and Executive Leadership to ensure a unified go-to-market strategy.Partner closely with Engineering and Design teams to create innovative, intuitive, and scalable solutions.Develop and refine scalable processes, frameworks, and models to enhance efficiency and team collaboration.Customer & Market Focus:Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring product offerings continually address the evolving needs of cities and traffic professionals.Conduct detailed customer interviews, surveys, and usability tests to validate product decisions and improve user experiences.Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and usage data comprehensively to inform strategic roadmap priorities.Establish, track, and regularly report on key product performance indicators (KPIs) to continually optimize product outcomes and market positioning.Travel 5-10% of the time to engage directly with customers, stakeholders, and industry events.Here's what you'll needExperience: 10+ years of professional experience in traffic technology, data analytics, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a product management or equivalent role.Technical Skills: Experience in traffic engineering and ITS, including familiarity with traffic simulation and modeling tools such as Synchro, PTV Vissim, or equivalent.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Analytical Abilities: Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and market dynamics to inform strategic decision‐making.Financial Decision-Making: Ability to assess product investments, model ROI, understand P&L impact, and make sound, data‐driven business decisions.Customer Orientation: Strong commitment to understanding customer challenges and delivering products that address real‐world operational needs.Team Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions, including Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Leadership.Leadership: Ability to mentor and coach team members, promoting professional growth, knowledge sharing, and high standards of execution.Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
