Maintenance Supervisor (Foreman), MRF/CompostAbout the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Foreman) to lead daily maintenance operations at our MRF and Compost facilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who knows how to keep equipment running safely and efficiently while guiding and developing a skilled maintenance team.You'll play a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting plant operations, and ensuring all maintenance activities meet safety and operational standards.What You'll DoLeadership & SupervisionSupervise and lead maintenance technicians, assigning daily work orders based on operational priorities.Support onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of maintenance staff.Communicate equipment issues, repair needs, and parts requirements to leadership.Maintenance & RepairsPerform and oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Troubleshoot and repair equipment including conveyors, grinders, balers, compactors, and related machinery.Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.Support facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and minor building repairs.Preventive Maintenance & ReliabilityEnsure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and completed on time.Partner with operations teams to schedule repairs and minimize equipment downtime.Respond to urgent repair needs and emergency maintenance situations as required.Safety & ComplianceEnforce all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE compliance.Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with safety standards.Documentation & InventoryComplete daily work orders and accurately document maintenance activities.Maintain accurate maintenance records and repair documentation.Identify parts and supply needs and assist with inventory control.Workplace OrganizationMaintain tools, parts, shop areas, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.Other DutiesPerform other duties as assigned by leadership.Who You'll LeadMaintenance Technicians across Post Collections sites.What We're Looking ForEducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical certification or Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.Experience3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or facility environment2+ year of supervisory or lead technician experienceSkills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Proven leadership, planning, and organizational skills.Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.Why Join Us?Stable, essential operations environmentOpportunity to lead and make a direct impact on plant performanceCollaborative team culture with room for growthCompetitive compensation and benefits
