Job Description As a Skilled Laborer at Kiwi Newton Construction LLC, you will play an important role in supporting structural and finishing work on an active construction site. This position focuses on grouting and parging tasks, requiring attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to deliver clean, durable finishes.Working alongside site supervisors and skilled trades, you will help ensure critical work is completed accurately and efficiently, contributing to overall project quality and progress.This role is ideal for a dependable, hands-on individual who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.Position Details:Project Based, Arlington, Virginia 22202Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pmFull-time Contract, On-SitePrimary Responsibilities:Perform grouting work for structural elements, base plates, and other components as requiredApply parging to concrete and masonry surfaces to achieve smooth, uniform finishesPrepare surfaces by cleaning, chipping, and removing debris prior to applicationMix and apply grout and parging materials according to specifications and manufacturer guidelinesEnsure proper curing and finishing of materials to meet quality standardsAssist with general site preparation and support other trades as neededInspect completed work to ensure consistency, adhesion, and overall qualityMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work areaFollow all company safety policies and OSHA regulationsHandle materials and tools efficiently and responsiblyRequired Skills & Qualifications:Previous 3-5 years experience with grouting and/or parging in a construction environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to produce clean, consistent finishesAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a teamGood understanding of construction site safety practicesAbility to consistently lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the dayPhysically capable of bending, kneeling, and working in various site conditionsExperience with mixing and applying cementitious materials preferredReliable, hardworking, and punctualOSHA 10 certification considered an assetWhat We Offer:Opportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile structural steel projectsEmployer Contributions Toward Benefits and Retirement SavingsClothing AllowanceSafety Shoe AllowanceInterested in joining the Kiwi Newton Team?
