We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead onsite operations for commercial projects across our core markets. In this role, you will manage subcontractors and crews, drive project schedules, enforce safety and quality standards, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the field. The ideal candidate brings strong communication and client-facing skills, with accountability for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & CoordinationLead all onsite operations and field activities to ensure successful project deliveryPartner closely with the Project Manager to align on progress, resolve issues, and meet project goalsSupervise Assistant Superintendents and field staff, and lead preconstruction start-up and coordination meetings with subcontractorsServe as the primary onsite contact for clients, architects, engineers, and consultantsDemonstrate teamwork, adaptability, initiative, and dependability in daily problem-solving and project executionBuild strong professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members while upholding Bogarts standardsScheduling & DocumentationDevelop and maintain project schedules, including weekly look-aheadsPrepare daily project reports with supporting documentation and photosCoordinate inspections, permits, and testing requirements with subcontractors and agenciesMaintain and update as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycleSafety ManagementImplement and oversee jobsite safety programs with a focus on zero incidentsEnsure subcontractors and crews conduct regular safety meetingsProactively identify and address safety risks to maintain compliance and protect all workersQuality ControlMonitor work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codesConduct punch list reviews and oversee corrective actions throughout the projectMaintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsiteCompetenciesLeadership: Inspires confidence, motivates teams, and builds accountability across field staff and subcontractorsCommunication: Clear and professional in client interactions; able to align project stakeholders and team members effectivelyProblem-Solving: Thinks critically and resolves issues quickly to keep projects moving forwardOrganization: Prioritizes tasks and manages time effectively in a fast-paced environmentClient-Focused: Dedicated to building trust and maintaining long-term client relationshipsAdaptability: Adjusts smoothly to changing project conditions, schedules, and requirementsInitiative: Proactive in anticipating project needs and taking ownership of outcomesDependability: Reliable in meeting commitments, maintaining consistency, and following through under pressureQualificationsExperience: 7+ years of verifiable experience as a commercial construction superintendentExperience in sectors such as: Retail and big box, automotive (e.g., dealerships, car washes, gas stations), commercial kitchens, grocery, and entertainment.Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel to project sites throughout California (and potentially nearby states)Safety Credentials: OSHA 30 and other relevant safety certifications strongly preferredSoftware Requirements: Proficiency with Procore, MS Project/Excel, and Bluebeam; Microsoft Office Suite preferredBenefitsHealth & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision insurance through Bogarts group plansRetirement: 401(k) savings plan with company contributions and vesting scheduleTime Off: Paid time off and company-recognized holidaysTravel Support: Per diem for lodging and meals, plus flights and mileage coveredIf youre looking for an opportunity to lead projects, work with great clients, and make an impact from day one, we invite you to apply.
