Staff Java Engineer ( with eCommerce domain experience)

The primary focus of this role is the technical integration of the checkout system with various third-party payment providers. You will be working on a robust architecture where backend logic meets frontend presentation via Apache FreeMarker (FTL). This is a high-impact position where stability and precision are paramount. You will not be working in a silo; this role requires active collaboration with the client’s internal technical team and third-party vendors to ensure seamless transaction processing. We need someone who can bridge the gap between Java backend logic and HTML structure. Responsibilities Participate in the design and development of eCommerce backend from requirements analysis to production.Implement expandable, testable, production-grade code Serve as a force-multiplier and a lead for a broader group of developers. Assist the client and the account team in estimating and executing projects in eCommerce space and specifically around Cart/Checkout and Order Capture. Identify SDLC bottlenecks, work with DevOps team on resolving tooling deficiencies Promote and adopt AI-enabled SDLC workflow.
