3rd Shift Quality Control Technical Associate

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to verfy mass production quality systems are running properly. Confirm quality records are completed properly. Support determination of root cause for quality issues and aid in the process of troubleshooting. Sorting of suspect products. Audit mass production line stations. Support activities concerning quality improvement, quality systems development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. This would include assisting all departments in countinous improvement activity to reduce waste related to lean manufacturing and follow up with line side improvements. Position Duties and Responsibilities: Manufacturing Line Support – Line Calls Line/Station and QCS/MCS Audits In-house Changes PDCA (Abnormals, Quality Alerts, TWI's) Quality Improvement PDCA (Line Improvement meetings, PCN) Customer Driven Change; Support (New Model & MP) Perform/Record/Evaluate Monthly Quality Specification Checks IATF Auditing Other Duties as Assigned Skills and Abilities: Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, be highly motivated Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy Confers with and prepares reports for upper management and possibly other Astemo companies Maintains clean and orderly work environment Interacts with various levels of associates Maintains knowledge of all processes, procedures, and equipment within Quality Coordinates and recommends cost savings and efficiency ideas for the facility Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed High degree of attention to detail for confirming technical documents GageTrak Support – Calibrations CMM Operation Software: Basic experience required in Windows, MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint Requirements: Qualifications: Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 2-year related work experience Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties Preferred Qualifications: 2-year College Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or Quality or Other Engineering IATF Auditor certification Essential to Job Functions: Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen Full Motor Skills Work Environment: Requires less than 5% travel Factory Setting with Noise Equipment Used: Personal Computer Basic Measuring Devices Why Astemo?
