Details Medical Surgical overflow and telemetry unit in a hospital setting High-acuity patient population with a 1:6 or 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio Proficiency required with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone Night shift schedule: 7p-7a, with 3x12 or 4x12 hours available based on traveler preference Every other weekend (EOW) required Block booking available 13-week contract Requirements Active Alabama (AL) or compact RN license, in good standing Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required Must be comfortable managing high-acuity patients Experience with cardiac drip administration (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone) required Two professional references required for consideration Must provide a copy of Driver's License and Social Security Card for consideration COVID-19 vaccination required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file Flu shot required unless a documented religious or medical exemption is on file Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Scrub colors: all navy, or navy pants with a white top Orientations are held every other Monday No local candidates — candidates must reside more than 90 miles from the facility; permanent address must be listed on profile American Traveler Job ID P-683594.
