What You’ll DoIn this mid-level role with strong ownership expectations, you'll help evolve and modernize a mature CAD/CAM software platform that drives industrial CNC equipment. You’ll primarily work on a Windows-based desktop application, contributing to both ongoing enhancements and new feature development, particularly as our embedded motion control systems continue to advance.Maintain and enhance a large, established C++ codebaseReverse engineer and modernize legacy components to improve performance, reliability, and maintainabilityDesign and implement new features to support evolving embedded controllersDevelop internal tools that support customer service and technical support teamsCollaborate cross-functionally with electrical and mechanical engineersTake ownership of features or components from initial design through implementationWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following modern best practicesWhat We’re Looking ForApproximately 5+ years of professional software development experienceStrong proficiency in C++Experience working with large, complex codebasesDemonstrated ability to analyze, understand, and improve legacy systemsStrong debugging and problem-solving skillsExperience with Visual Studio and Git (or similar version control systems)Self-motivated, with the ability to own work and drive tasks to completionStrong communication and collaboration skillsNice to HaveExperience with C# / .NETBackground in CAD/CAM, CNC, or manufacturing softwareExperience with graphics or geometry programmingExperience integrating software with hardware or embedded systemsExposure to embedded or firmware developmentJoin UsThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with complex systems, improving legacy code, and building practical software that directly controls real-world machines.
