Supply Chain Technician

Job Description This individual is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering medical supplies and equipment to the Operating Room of CMC. Requires the use of automated technology such as point-of-use cabinets. Materials Management Information System (Lawson) and handheld bar code readers. Performs cyclical and annual inventories on storeroom supplies and point-of-use systems. Accept and process customer returns. Maintains clean and clutter-free workspace to include receiving dock and storeroom. Process emergency requests for stocked material. Receiving: Retrieve incoming materials, supplies, and equipment delivered to CMC for the Operating Room from the receiving department. Identify correct supply items and quantity with receiving department staff and sign for packages. Compare product documentation with the actual products delivered to verify the accuracy of shipment, identifying overage and shortages and resolving discrepancies with receiving staff and buyers. Segregate material for delivery and stock location storage. Issue: Pull material from storage locations and complete all required transaction data entry. Load material handling equipment. Process emergency requests for material through the Lawson portal, pulling required items and providing them to the applicable using activity to include patient billable items. Delivery / Stocking: Deliver direct delivery items, point-of-use (Omnicell) replenishments, and requisition self-service item to the applicable storage locations. Stock points of use (POU) cabinets, assist with POU cycle inventories, identify shortages, and make POU cell management changes as necessary. Operate all assigned Information Systems, material handling equipment, and delivery vehicles.RequirementsMinimum 1-2 years of job related experience. Minimum 2-3 years of job-related experience; Experience with Surgical Supplies, procedures, medical terminology, and the surgical environment preferred Maintenance, Support, and Troubleshooting: Monitor, acknowledge and resolve heat tickets as assigned. Coordinate software and hardware patches, service packs, and version upgrades with customer departments and System Administrator(s). Develop and maintain documentation for system procedures. Administrative: Log hours for project-related work in the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system every week. (Excluding Lab) Utilize HP Quality Center system for creating test cases and scripts, monitoring testing execution, and providing documentation as required for production change control approval. Attend General Information Services (GIS) meetings, weekly Business Application Services team meetings, application team meetings as appropriate, and other meetings as needed. Production Support and Maintenance: On-call support (support calendar defined by Group or application suite, pager required); Ensuring the integrity, integration, and stability of production system; Formulating system scope and objectives to develop or modify complex system designs; Daily checklist for servers, services, log files, backups, scheduled SQL jobs, scheduled tasks, CPU usage, monitor space, transaction logs etc.; Interface maintenance and support; Ensure coordination and documentation of hardware and software support and upgrades (servers, SQL, Citrix servers, VM Ware, desktop, network, telecommunication, SAN storage, internet application, remote users); Working closely with IT resources during upgrades and issue resolutions; Troubleshoot application, process and technical issues.
