Project Coordinator

Summary/objective—This junior-level position supports a team of marketing professionals who work on a communications contract for a Federal client. The project coordinator provides project management, research, and writing support for the planning, implementation, and coordination of internal and external communications projects, programs, events, and other types of outreach. Essential functions— Administrative support work includes preparing routine reports and deliverables, maintaining team communications and project files, and researching and updating databases. Communications functions include writing for various types of media, including newsletters and journals. The project coordinator also assists with the development of electronic newsletters and/or other web-based and email outreach tools. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. The successful candidate will have the ability to produce error-free work on tight deadlines. Excellent judgment and discretion are required when handling proprietary and confidential matters. Competency— Must be an organized, detail-oriented administrative professional who can complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to problem solve by taking initiative and thinking outside of the box. Proficiency in the following technology is required: Microsoft platforms (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams), Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat. Supervisory responsibilities—This is a junior-level position and is not a supervisory position. Work environment—Primarily remote work with occasional client site meetings. Candidates should reside in the DMV, the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia metropolitan area. Physical demands—Physical demands of this position include computer use for scheduling calls. Position type and expected hours of work—This is a fulltime position. Expected work hours are Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm ET.Travel—No travel is required.Required education and experience—Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. At least 2 years of relevant administrative experience. Federal government contract experience preferred.Preferred education and experience— Prefer a technically savvy candidate with Federal contract experience.
