User Acceptance Tester
| Location: Providence, RI | ContractOur client in Providence, RI is seeking a User Acceptance Tester to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working within a health and human services environment, supporting project testing efforts related to Medicaid, SNAP, and other programs, with a focus on ensuring software quality and compliance with business requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with UAT Leads to evaluate and manage project scope through Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Design Documents (FDDs).Liaise with Agency Leads, Program Managers, and UAT representatives to understand business processes and facilitate cross-agency UAT activities based on release scope.Work closely with project and development teams to review project roadmaps, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria; develop UAT test plans, test cases, and schedules to ensure comprehensive test coverage.Prepare UAT execution calendars and request necessary test environments and accounts.Consolidate and review test scripts and scenarios to ensure alignment with scope and business processes.Execute SQL queries to gather and validate data supporting UAT testing efforts.Review and manage test scripts and defect logs within JIRA and JAMA, including logging tickets, tracking issues, and verifying fixes.Lead defect identification, logging, and collaboration with technical and business team members to resolve issues and meet quality standards.Attend UAT meetings, provide status updates, and report testing metrics to the UAT Manager.Required QualificationsMinimum of five (5) years of UAT experience planning, preparing, and executing test cases.Proven experience testing health and human services systems, including SNAP, RIW, CCAP, LTSS, Medicaid, and familiarity with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).Strong knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC), testing strategies, and project management methodologies.Proficiency in SQL queries and database validation techniques.Ability to query databases as needed to support testing activities.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with automated testing frameworks and scripting.Experience using Selenium for developing and executing automated tests.Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases and developing testing schedules.Prior experience testing interfaces and third-party vendor integrations.Ability to QA deliverables before submission.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.About Delphi-US - Peacemakers In The Talent WarDelphi-US is a national IT Services firm based in Newport, Rhode Island.
