Engineering Manager (JD5682)Southeast MichiganAn established Tier 1 automotive manufacturer is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations within a high-volume machining environment.This individual will oversee manufacturing engineering activities related to CNC machining, process engineering, quoting/cost estimating, launches, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will work closely with operations leadership to support plant performance, technical problem solving, and new business activity.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a team supporting manufacturing engineering and plant operationsOversee CNC machining and process engineering activities within a production environmentSupport quoting, cost estimating, feasibility reviews, and new business opportunitiesDrive process improvements focused on efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost reductionPartner closely with operations to resolve technical and production-related issuesSupport launch activities, process development, and equipment implementationEnsure projects are executed on time and within budgetPromote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and floor-level engagementQualifications10–15 years of experience within automotive manufacturingPrior engineering leadership experience in a machining or CNC manufacturing environmentStrong background in Tier 1 aluminum machining operations preferredExperience with CNC programming, manufacturing processes, and operational supportBackground in quoting, costing, and process feasibility reviewsExperience with AutoCAD and SolidWorksProject management and process engineering experience requiredExposure to IATF/internal audit processes strongly preferredFord customer experience is a plusStrong critical thinking, follow-up, delegation, and technical problem-solving skillsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field preferredAdditional DetailsDay shift, Monday through FridayCompetitive base salary + bonusHighly visible leadership role with direct impact on plant operations and engineering performanceAdecco is happy to present this opportunity.
