Systems Engineer

Job Summary: As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining new and existing systems and infrastructure. Needs to have a deep understanding of general system integration experience with Microsoft Windows Domain, Linux, Hypervisor, SSO, Dual Authentication, Oracle SQL, Windows SQL, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange. Experience with Perl, Python and Azure Data Lakes with AI and ML is a plus. Duties and responsibilities: Design, configure, deploy, and maintain applications, servers, storage, and network solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud Proactively work to improve reliability, stability, and security of the cloud and on-premises environments Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity planning. Create and update documentation Work with developers to deploy and maintain applications, including hardening and vulnerability remediation Research and evaluate new hardware and software solutions Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or work experience combination Adhere to all JA Solar and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds Meet or exceed company safety standards Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree perferred Network experience Certification of MCSE or similar is a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Data architecture and programming proficiency Good Understanding of Microsoft Servers, Linux, Hypervisor, Cloud Experience, and System Integrations Positive working attitude Ability to work with a team Good communication skills Critical thinking skills Ability to manage different stakeholders Working conditions: Able to work extended hours as needed Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, and extreme noise Must wear protective equipment while at the location May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays Physical requirements: Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities EEO/AA Statement JA Solar is an EEO/AA (equal opportunity/affirmative action) institution and does not discriminate on the basis of sex, age, race, color, religion, physical or mental disability, creed, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity, or gender expression in the programs or activities which it operates.
