Senior Data Engineer – Data & Intelligence

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Azure, and streaming technologies to build scalable finance data platforms supporting T-Mobile’s Finance & Intelligence organization. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in batch and real-time data pipelines, advanced SQL/Python development, and finance domain knowledge including billing, revenue, GL, and OPEX.Key ResponsibilitiesData EngineeringDesign and develop scalable ELT/ETL pipelines for finance data platforms.Implement batch, incremental, and CDC-based ingestion frameworks.Build reliable, idempotent, and production-grade pipelines with monitoring and error handling.Snowflake & DatabricksDevelop and optimize pipelines using:Snowflake (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables)Databricks (PySpark, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog)Optimize query performance, partitioning, and compute usage.dbt & OrchestrationBuild and maintain dbt models, snapshots, tests, and macros.Orchestrate workflows using Airflow or Azure Data Factory.Streaming & CloudBuild real-time pipelines using Kafka/Event Hub and Spark Structured Streaming.Work with Azure services including ADLS Gen2, ADF, Event Hub, Azure Functions, and Key Vault.Exposure to AWS services is a plus.Data Quality & GovernanceImplement data quality validations, testing, and SLA monitoring.Apply RBAC, data security, lineage, and compliance standards.Leadership & CollaborationOwn end-to-end delivery of complex data pipelines.Mentor junior engineers and perform code reviews.Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.Participate in production support and on-call rotation.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience in Data Engineering.Strong hands-on experience with:SnowflakeDatabricks & PySparkdbtAdvanced SQLPythonAirflow or ADFExperience with streaming technologies (Kafka/Event Hub).Experience building finance or regulated-domain data platforms.Preferred QualificationsTelecom domain experience (ARPU, churn, prepaid/postpaid metrics).Experience supporting financial reporting and close cycles.Azure/AWS certifications preferred.Mandatory SkillsAdvanced SQLSnowflakeDatabricks & PySparkPythondbtAirflow / ADFAzure CloudKafka / Structured StreamingAbout Brickred SystemsBrickred Systems is a global leader in next-generation technology, consulting, and business process services.
