Position: Accountant Location: Danvers, MA - Fully on-site Compensation: $70,000–$85,000 + Bonus + Lunch If you are an accounting professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and visibility, this Accountant opportunity offers a chance to join a long established private club that is actively modernizing its operations. This organization has experienced significant membership growth and is investing in new systems, upgraded facilities, and operational improvements. As a result, they are adding an Accountant to help stabilize workloads and strengthen core accounting and payroll processes. Why the Accountant Opportunity? Growth and stability within a long established, private organization Ongoing modernization of systems, facilities, and internal processes Direct visibility and partnership with the Controller Broad exposure across accounting, payroll, billing, and light HR support Competitive compensation with bonus potential and lunch provided on site The Accountant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist with general GL tasks such as payroll JE uploads, prepaids, monthly bank reconciliations, and audit preparation. Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and tipped employees, including timesheet verification, gratuity/service charge allocations, and payroll adjustments as directed by management. Generate member billing statements and reconcile charges. Monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve billing inquiries. Complete onboarding paperwork, maintain employee files, and support workers’ compensation claim administration. Assist with HR recordkeeping, policy updates, compliance postings, and handbook updates. Provide backup support to Accounts Payable when needed. Maintain a courteous, professional presence when employees or members visit the office (no front‑desk or receptionist duties). Qualifications for the Accountant: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred Three or more years of general accounting experience, with payroll experience highly preferred for this Accountant position Experience with systems such as Jonas, Paylocity, or similar platforms is helpful but not required Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to manage a steady workflow Comfort working as an Accountant within a small, collaborative accounting team #LI-MV1 #INMAR2026
