OSP CAD Designer

Job Title: OSP CAD DesignerLocation: Greenville, S.C.Department: Fiber EngineeringCompany: TEPAbout the Role:TEP is looking for a full-time OSP CAD Designer to join our growing Greenville, S.C. office. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our engineering team, creating construction-ready drawings for utility and telecommunications projects. If you have a strong background in AutoCAD and a sharp eye for design detail, we’d love to hear from you.We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative work environment.What You’ll Be Doing:Work directly with project engineers to produce high-quality construction drawings for utility infrastructurePlan and prepare detailed layouts based on engineering sketches, notes, and field dataResearch applicable codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements to ensure complianceGather and import land base data and utility as-builts (e.g., shapefiles) for use in designCreate permit drawings, utility schematics, and as-built documentationMaintain organized records of all drawing revisions, project files, and submittalsSubmit encroachment and specialty permits to cities, counties, and railroads (e.g., CSX, NSRR)Input as-built information into client mapping and records systemsParticipate in field visits as needed to gather project-specific design informationAssist with maintaining project schedules and staying within task-level budgetsPerform additional duties as assigned by the project managerWhat We’re Looking For:2+ years of experience using AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is a plusStrong understanding of CAD principles including layers, scales, viewports, and x-referencesPrior experience with fiber, small cell, or DAS projects is preferred but not requiredWorking knowledge of public ROWs, utility easements, and common infrastructure layoutsFamiliarity with GIS platforms like QGIS or ArcGIS is preferred, but not requiredAbility to read and interpret engineering/construction drawings accuratelyComfortable prioritizing tasks across multiple deadlines and projectsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and on a teamMust be willing and able to travel up to 20% for field visits and coordination meetingsMust possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (past 5 years)Must pass a criminal background check and drug screeningEducation Requirements:A degree is not required, but is a plus.
