Job Description LHH is partnering with a service organization in Fort Worth to hire a Controller. They are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a growing organization. This individual will lead the day-to-day finance function, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with leadership on strategic planning and budgeting initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in an independent environment, can make sound business decisions, and is passionate about driving operational efficiency and financial excellence. ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activitiesPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsMaintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controlsPost journal entries and reconcile cash, investments, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accountsDevelop, update, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and departmental processes with a focus on automation and efficiencyOversee payroll processing, retirement funding, and HSA contributionsManage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including approvals, coding, reconciliations, and cash flow managementMaintain and update the chart of accounts and accounting systems as neededSupport reporting and financial documentation requirementsPartner with departments to develop budgets and prepare supporting invoicesAssist with annual operating budgets, multi-year forecasts, and cash flow projectionsSupport annual audits and tax filings, including preparation of audit schedules and documentationParticipate in vendor negotiations and oversee insurance programs, including health, commercial, and workers' compensation coverageServe as a strategic business partner to leadership while driving continuous process improvementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience1+ years of leadership or management experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controlsExperience with accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent communication, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and influence decisions across the organizationBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K Interested candidates can apply directly or send resumes to Amy.Rhine@ LHH.com.
