A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 3x12 night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 • 36 guaranteed hours per week • No call requirements • Work on 38-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios typically 1:4 to 1:6 based on acuity • Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required • Must pass telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips • Experience with open heart surgical patients preferred but not required • Nevada RN license required prior to start • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX) • Care for patients with CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI's, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients • Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc.) • May float to intensive care units, medical-surgical units, and other locations based on competency • Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Eve Day = 1 holiday) • Must pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period • Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends and holidays • Subject to call-offs with 48-hour notice for low census Facility: This facility is an 800-bed hospital serving as the region's only Level II trauma center, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually.
