We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies.SummaryThe Facility Maintenance Specialist will oversee and provide safe, effective, timely maintenance in order to meet daily production needs and goals. They will ensure the facility maintenance is conducted according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules and supervise facility maintenance team members and support departments to complete maintenance requests.Responsibilities Effectively oversee and lead facility maintenance team membersMonitor the status of maintenance tasks, track completion, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities Create and implement maintenance schedules to ensure minimal disruption to operations while maximizing equipment uptime Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential improvement Respond to emergency maintenance requests, as needed Tracks and manages West Point VPC work order software Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team's cohesiveness and productivity Assist in contacting vendors for general repairs Assist in developing more effective maintenance procedures Develop / maintain good working relationships with other departments Train facility maintenance team membersVehicle mechanics and parts replacementsLight to heavy industrial building maintenance Light to moderate industrial plumbing Industrial preventative maintenance Light to heavy industrial paintingEnsure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic conditionImplement workplace safety policies and standards Performs other duties as assignedSkills & QualificationsExcellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills in English RequiredAbility to Communicate Effectively with Vendors and Internal Departments RequiredSkills in Organizing and Prioritizing Work Activities RequiredAbility to Read and Write, and Follow Verbal and Written Instructions RequiredAbility to Use Hand Tools RequiredFacility Maintenance Experience RequiredWork Order Systems Experience RequiredEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/G.E.D RequiredAssociates Degree Preferred4 Years of Direct Experience in Facility Maintenance and/or Multiple Industry Trades Required6 Years of Direct Experience in Facility Maintenance and/or Multiple Industry Trades Preferred2 Years of Indirect Experience Required4 Years of Indirect Experience Preferred1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience PreferredValid Driver's License with Good Driving Record RequiredHVAC / Electrical / PLC / Plumbing Training PreferredAccredited Technical College Certification PreferredGlovis America, Inc. adheres to the equal employment opportunity guidelines set forth by federal, state, and local laws.
