Starburst DevOps/Admin

Position: Starburst DevOps/Admin Location: Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 days remote)Duration: 12-month contract (ext. up to 36 months)Must-haves:Recent Starburst experienceL3 support experienceDetails: This position involves end-to-end platform administration and support tasks across a shared Starburst platform. The ideal candidate will handle installation, configuration, platform maintenance, disaster recovery, and software release management. Key duties include serving as a Level 3 escalation point for issue resolution, tuning environments, and contributing to best practices.Responsibilities:Perform installation and configuration of StarburstCoordinate, plan, and execute activities related to platform maintenance, Disaster Recovery, and Software release managementServe as L3 escalation for Platform Issue resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisHandle configuration and tuning of production and lower-level environmentsPerform Capacity & Stability monitoring and assist with Platform metrics collection and reportingContribute to the definition, review, documentation & communication of standards and Best PracticesRequirements:Hands-on experience with Starburst software installation and configurationWorking knowledge of OpenShift and KubernetesProven troubleshooting and issue resolution skillsAbility to analyze and communicate root cause and resolution stepsFamiliarity with Starburst software Best PracticesWorking knowledge of the Starburst software security model and adaptabilityExperience with SQL query tuningExperience with connectivity configuration for StarburstStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with Hadoop and PythonDesired skills:Experience with JDBC connectivity setup
