This is to be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.Summary of Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesChecks with Sous Chef and lead cook for daily objectivesHandle and properly store company assetsWash China, glasses, silverware and kitchen supplies in ware washer and or sinkCleans and organizes workstationMaintains a clean and sanitary culinary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codesProperly stocks and stores food inventory when askedPerforms kitchen duties as directed by the Sous Chef, including sweeping, mopping, trash removalChecks product/supply levels and adjusts to daily needs and communicates any shortagesParticipates in daily line upsMaintains ware washing equipment is good repairChecks Water temperatures for proper sanitationAbility to tolerate detergents and chemicals such as, but not limited to, dish liquids, bleach, degreaser, oven cleaner and other chemicals necessary to clean/sanitize equipment and environmentManagement reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.Education and Experience RequiredMust be at least 18 years oldThis position requires a minimum formal education of some high schoolFlexible availability to include weekends, holidays, daytime and evening scheduleMust pass a pre-employment background check and drug testKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAble to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employeesMust reflect Dollywood's image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in workMust be self-motivated and disciplinedMust be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basisMust maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged informationMust be committed to continuous improvementMust maintain a professional appearance with good personal hygieneMust promote and support a "team" work environment by cooperating and helping co-workersMust be productive in a fast-paced environmentMust maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to act to meet their needs within company guidelinesMust be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skillsAble to collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects ahead of schedule, fostering open communication and mutual support to achieve shared goalsAble to comprehend instructions and retain informationAble to perform duties consistently while creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guestsAble to be flexible and handle frequent changes in prioritiesAble to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracyMust be able to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methodsAble to tolerate various temperatures while working indoors and outdoorsAble to meet the physical demands of the jobAble to lift up to 50 lbs, with assistanceAble to tolerate temperatures of 0 to 140 degreesPhysical requirements necessary for stooping, lifting, bending, pushing and pulling in order to deliver and put dishes and equipment away in storage, on shelving and in refrigerated spacesPhysical and Cognitive RequirementsLifting and Carrying:Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company's safety guidelines for safe liftingMobility:Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfacesRepetitive Movements:This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functionsEnvironmental Conditions:This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
