Design, implement, execute, and debug test cases and/or automated test scripts. Validate and document completion of testing and development. Verify fixes and help ensure successful releases by planning and executing test activities for exploratory and regression testing.This position will demonstrate and apply product, domain, or technical expertise to maximize the quality of testing for a development team. Maintain a positive and professional attitude. Identify opportunities for improving processes, training and tools and make appropriate recommendations to management.Essential TasksReview requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackDevelop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements and detail technical specifications provided by the design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirementsEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development teamDesign, develop and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided toolsIdentify, record, document, and track bugsPerform regular regression, exploratory and system testing as requiredMonitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracyIntranet page owner responsibilitiesLeverage AI-enabled tools and analytics to enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and drive measurable business outcomes when appropriateApply sound judgment and ethical standards when using AI, ensuring accuracy, data privacy, and responsible human-in-the-loop oversightOther duties as assignedPreferred Skills & Experience6+ years professional experienceMust have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the productMust have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specificationsExperience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queriesExperience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systemsA thorough understanding of administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plusProficiency with at least one programming or scripting language a plusThe pay range for this position is $66,000-$79,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
