Hearing Instrument Specialist - Audiology

Job TitleAs a Hearing Instrument Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting patients throughout their hearing care journey. You'll work closely alongside our audiologists to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience. The Hearing Instrument Specialist is responsible for the identification and rehabilitation of hearing impairment including determining the appropriateness and benefit of amplification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about helping others and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare setting. Essential Job Function: Assist patients with hearing aids, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs Provide patient education on hearing aid use, care, and features Support audiologists with follow-up care and patient management Maintain accurate and organized patient records Stay informed on the latest hearing aid technology Work as part of a team to promote a welcoming, efficient, and positive environment for patients Physical Job Requirements: Pushing and pulling, taking frequency and weight into consideration. Physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items, taking frequency and weight into consideration. Physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job, taking distance and speed into account. Physical agility, which includes ability to maneuver body while in place. Dexterity of hands and fingers. Balance is maintained during climbing, bending and/or reaching Endurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged standing/bending, walking). Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements: High school diploma or GED. State-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist (or eligibility to become licensed). Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills. Strong keyboard/computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience. Previous experience working with hearing aids is preferred. Pay Range: $28.51 - $35.63 Hourly The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
