Title: ControllerLocation: Athens, GAOffice Setting: In-OfficeAbout the OpportunityOur client, a growing real estate investment and property operations organization, is seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations across a diverse portfolio of properties and development projects.This is a highly visible role that offers the opportunity to partner closely with ownership and operations leadership while overseeing the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, cash management, and portfolio performance. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, accountability, and collaboration are essential. Experience within real estate, property management or construction is required.What You’ll DoOwn the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of properties and development activitiesLead monthly close processes and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and general ledger activityPrepare financial reports, analyses, and distributions while providing insights to support strategic decision-makingManage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support operational and investment objectivesOversee accounts receivable activities, tenant billings, and billing adjustments to ensure timely collections and accurate reportingEstablish and maintain disciplined invoicing processes to promote healthy cash flow and financial controlsPerform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and accountsPartner with internal stakeholders to improve processes and support continued portfolio growthMaintain organized financial records and supporting documentation to ensure operational efficiency and audit readinessWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldPrevious experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar financial leadership role3+ years of accounting experience within real estate, property management, or commercial real estate environmentsStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger managementDemonstrated experience with account reconciliations, financial analysis, and month-end close processesAbility to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environmentExceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracySelf-starter mentality with a high level of ownership and accountability
