This role exists to bring structure where there is complexity, clarity where there is ambiguity, and operational discipline where growth can otherwise create friction.Our clients are mission-driven organizations navigating real growth. They do not simply need HR support, they need someone who can help operationalize their people infrastructure so their teams can scale sustainably.Working directly with Anera Collective clients, this contractor partners with founders, operators, and people leaders to build and maintain the systems that support the full employee lifecycle.The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-minded, and service-oriented, but also understands the deeper purpose of the work: helping organizations create environments where people can do their best work.When embedded in client work, the contractor represents Anera Collective’s commitment to:• Clarity • Accountability • Operational excellence • And thoughtful, human-centered leadershipThe essential functions below represent the primary responsibilities of this role:• Support client People Operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, documentation, and employee record maintenance• Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready employee files and data across client systems• Prepare, track, and manage people-related documentation including agreements, acknowledgments, and internal records• Serve as a reliable and professional operational partner to client stakeholders regarding People Operations processes and documentation:• Execute People Operations workflows with accuracy, timeliness, and strong attention to detail• Track deliverables, deadlines, and open action items across multiple client engagements• Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment• Represent Anera Collective’s standards of clarity, organization, and professionalism when working within client environments• Identify opportunities to strengthen documentation, improve process flow, and create more scalable people operations infrastructureThis role is responsible not only for completing tasks, but for helping ensure that the systems behind the work are sustainable, organized, and built to scale.Depending on client scope and engagement level, the contractor may also support:• Special People Operations projects such as documentation redesign, systems organization, or workflow implementation• HRIS cleanup, audits, and process mapping initiatives• Operational support during high-growth or high-volume periods• Internal Anera Collective initiatives focused on improving our tools, processes, and client delivery modelQualifications: • Working knowledge of People Operations, HR administration, and employee lifecycle processes• Exceptional organization and attention to detail• Ability to manage multiple priorities across different client environments• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills• High emotional intelligence and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong alignment with Anera Collective leadership• Comfort operating within ambiguity while proactively creating clarity• Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office• Experience working within HRIS or People systems preferred (Gusto)Special Conditions:• This is a 1099 independent contractor position• Contractor will work directly with Anera Collective clients• Hours, scope, and duration will be defined by contract and client needs• Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and business expenses• Engagement is contingent upon performance, client satisfaction, and adherence to Anera Collective standards
