Job DetailsDescriptionAlexandria, MN - 1st shift, Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-4:30pm - Deadline to apply is July 22, 2025Fabrication Support is responsible for efficiently operating Fabrication equipment in order to modify aluminum parts based on the specific order. This position is also responsible for using a variety of inspection tools to ensure that the parts produced meet the required quality specifications.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.Exhibit active leadership in order to model and support the company’s vision, culture and strategiesEnsure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelinesSet up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirementsStrenuous or repetitive jobs must rotate at a minimum of every 4 hours to prevent the risk of injuryStrenuous activity is one in which it is necessary for you to use a lot of effort, energy or strengthREPETITIVE: a motion that occurs every few seconds with little or no variationOSHA emphasizes that job rotation should be used as a preventative measure to prevent physical fatigue and injuryAccurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders:Review manufacturing orders in order to verify internal and external customer specificationsPackage orders based on customer specificationsFollow current work center schedule to ensure customer service and satisfactionMonitor and recommend appropriate process improvements to safety, rates, yield and inspection techniquesPerform general machine maintenance as necessary to keep equipment in a well maintained conditionProvide suggestions and continuous improvements ideas to help better processes and proceduresKeep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)Continually support and improve the department’s key measuresMinimum QualificationsOther required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic computer skillsAbility to recognize safety concernsAbility to utilize the proper inspection equipmentA highly motivated self-starterStrong written and verbal communication skillsBasic math skillsAbility to detect minor defects in the finish of the productAbility to read blueprints and inspect parts according to customer specificationsBenefitsA.I.
