IT Senior Systems Analyst Storage & Distribution
The Systems Analyst is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting IT solutions that enable and enhance CertainTeed business processes. This role leverages best practices within the existing application landscape and tailors solutions to meet business-specific requirements. The Systems Analyst partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external consultants to ensure scalable, efficient, and compliant system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery
Lead and support IT projects and initiatives across multiple platforms and cross-functional areas.
Analyze business needs and engineer efficient business processes, identifying related functional and technical requirements.
Perform and coordinate process analysis, solution design, system configuration, testing, documentation, and deployment in a fast-paced environment.
Governance & Process Optimization:
Partner with CTIT Business Process Center (BPC) members, IT resources, and business users to guide process owners/councils.
Evaluate processes to define value propositions, streamline operations, and identify automation opportunities.
Ensure resulting application designs are robust, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
Production Support & Maintenance:
Manage ongoing production support by handling incidents, change requests, and user inquiries.
Document resolutions and support activities in the helpdesk system.
Ensure system integrity when implementing application changes, maintaining compliance with SOX, SOD, and related policies.
Change Management
Execute or coordinate configuration, development, and master data changes to meet business requirements.
Conduct unit, integration, and non-regression testing; support user acceptance testing.
Prepare documentation and deliver training to empower users and promote adherence to intended system design.
Project Contributions & Leadership:
Deliver or coordinate key project deliverables, including blueprints, functional/technical specifications, configuration, testing, training, cutover planning, and go-live support.
Maintain accurate documentation throughout all phases of deployment.
When needed, manage small to medium-sized projects, including budget oversight, timeline management, quality assurance, and direction of project resources.
Recommend and help establish internal development standards, procedures, and methodologies.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Engineering, or 10 years of relevant experience - Required
Master's Degree - Preferred
Work Experience
8-12 years supporting and/or implementing SAP Warehouse Management (WM) module - Required
6+ years designing and implementing business processes using industry standards and best practices - Required
2+ years configuring SAP and various Transportation Management Systems (TMS) - Required
Lead or key participant in at least 3 full lifecycle SAP WM implementations - Required
1 year implementing SAP EWM - Preferred
1-2 years SAP WM/SD integration with Transportation Management Systems - Preferred
Practical / Technical Knowledge:
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into functional solutions.
Effective communicator and collaborator across business and technical teams.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Experience in process optimization, system configuration, testing, and project delivery.
Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and support a wide range of stakeholders.
