Embedded Software Engineer

Overview Embedded Software Engineer to translate requirements into robust real-time software for safety-critical automotive modules. You will work with cross-functional teams to define architectures, develop and validate software, and improve tools and processes to drive reliability and customer satisfaction. The role focuses on real-time embedded systems, automotive microcontrollers, and rigorous validation in collaboration with OEM customers. ResponsibilitiesSystem engineering of real-time embedded software development including architecture, requirements analysis, design, coding, and validationCollaborate with customers, program managers and cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement product requirements and validate performanceDevelop software testing requirements for manufacturing, EMC and environmental testingLead improvements of software tools and processes to enhance customer satisfaction and software reliability Key requirementsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Computer Science; MS preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in real-time embedded software for safety-critical automotive modulesProficiency in C, C++, assembly; scripting languagesCAN and LIN experience with Canalyzer, CANoe, CANape, Microchip toolsExperience with DC and stepper motor controlISO26262 experience desiredKnowledge of SEI CMM or equivalentMatlab, Simulink required; auto code generation experience desiredWorking knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&TExcellent communications skillsExperience with MS Office toolsexcellent communication skillscross-functional collaborationproblem-solvingC, C++, assemblyscripting languagesCAN/LIN communication
