(EDSI) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Structural/Bridge Engineer to support the planning, analysis, and design of transportation and various other structures, with a primary emphasis on bridge design for Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and Local Public Agency (LPA) projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and technical writing skills and be able to collaborate effectively as an integral member of a multidisciplinary design team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:•Perform structural analysis and design of bridges, retaining walls, and similar structures in accordance with MoDOT, AASTHO, and applicable design specifications•Develop construction plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates•Prepare, review, and maintain structural calculations, reports, and technical documentation•Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including roadway, geotechnical, and hydraulic engineers•Conduct field inspections and site visits to support design and construction phases, as requiredPOSITION DETAILS:Location: Chesterfield, MO; Chicago, IL; Remote work arrangements may be considered.Department: Structural/BridgeSchedule: Full-time; hybrid work-from-home schedule (minimum of 3 days in-office)Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k retirement plan.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Licensing:Missouri Professional Engineer (PE) license (required)Illinois Structural Engineer (PE) license (preferred)Experience:•Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience•Mid-level to senior-level with equivalent experience are encouraged to apply•Experience completing State DOT projects, particularly for MoDOT and/or IDOT is preferredEducation: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution (minimum)Software Proficiency (Minimum):OpenBridge Designer, LPile, Microsoft Excel, MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer, Microsoft Word, & BIM Modeling/Revit (preferred but not required)
