Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-time/Non-exempt
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will support the coffee roasting and packaging operations through troubleshooting and repair of industrial processing & packaging equipment to ensure maximum efficiency, effectiveness and reliability of equipment.
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoot and repair issues with equipment and facilities
Perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks
Complete equipment component rebuilds as needed
Ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness and reliability
Track and maintain work orders and spare parts in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Assist in maintaining optimum inventory levels of critical equipment and tools
Assists, as directed, in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems
Performs additional related duties as assigned
Assist in the installation of new production equipment, as required.
Work Environment:
Working environment may include variations of temperature, noise, and physicality. This position may be required to work overtime and weekends to assist in meeting production demands.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
This position requires troubleshooting and repairs across multiple disciplines including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
Strong aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and/or automated systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and effectively use equipment manuals as needed to complete essential functions of the job
Capable shop skills in basic fabrication and minor rebuilds
Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and able to effectively use and navigate the CMMS
Ability to identify, organize, and cycle count spare parts
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
Pneumatic experience is required
Building and Grounds experience
Electrical control experience preferred
Five years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Food manufacturing and GMP experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Ability to carry 50 pounds
Ability to withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
