Phlebotomy Technician

Overview:An established outpatient medical group in the Wake Forest area is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician / Phlebotomy Technician to support clinical operations across multiple care teams. This role is perfect for someone with a solid background in laboratory testing who values teamwork and patient-centered care. You will play a critical part in maintaining CLIA compliance and delivering accurate and timely lab results that support quality care.Enjoy the charm of Wake Forest with its scenic outdoor trails, family-friendly communities, a growing food and entertainment scene, and a cost of living that's significantly lower than in major metro areas.Responsibilities:Perform moderate-complexity lab tests in compliance with CLIA regulationsMaintain and review quality control records and assist in implementing corrective actionsParticipate in staff training and lab procedure updatesInput laboratory and radiology results into the EHRSupport clinical care with basic vitals, specimen collection, screenings, and documentationMaintain a clean and organized lab and clinical environmentAssist during weekends and provide coverage across other local clinic sites as neededEngage in quality improvement initiatives and safety compliance (OSHA, HIPAA, etc.)Support the medical home model by contributing to a compassionate, coordinated care approachQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a physical, chemical, or biological scienceCurrent BLS certification requiredLaboratory or phlebotomy certification preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsMust be proficient in CLIA regulations and lab proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel to multiple clinic locations as neededMust be able to meet physical requirements such as standing, lifting, and typingRequired Skills:CLIA-compliant laboratory testingPhlebotomy and specimen handling
