Maintenance Supervisor
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
Schedule: Flexible on-site schedule; ability to address challenges after business hours as needed. M-F 8am-5pm standard business hours.
Description of the Position
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all equipment within the contract packaging operation. Responsibilities include overseeing equipment preventative maintenance, unplanned repairs, lock out tag out, OSHA requirements, operator training, and vendor management.
The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the maintenance team to support business operations in a contract packaging operation. This qualified individual will be responsible for maintaining existing preventive maintenance programs, SOP's and procedures as well as developing new programs and procedures where appropriate. The Maintenance Supervisor will work to provide support to the Distribution Operations Leadership team to ensure productivity. The Maintenance Supervisor will build and strengthen relationships with vendors, track and analyze data, and manage administration related to projects. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Responsibilities
Implement all maintenance activities at the site, ensuring repairs and changes are performed timely and flawlessly.
Responsible for planning and supervising all hourly maintenance associates
Determine day to day priority scheduling and follow up of all maintenance activities and associates performing such work
Ensure all necessary facilities systems are kept in reliable working condition and that they meet any required customer / regulatory specifications
Develop and implement a maintenance associate development plan to ensure training and development of all associates supervised
Coordinate all planned projects and outages with affected parties.
Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility
Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing the same
Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions
Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted
Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority
Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager
Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation for the same
Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment
Light building maintenance repairs. Changing bulbs, painting, caulking, etc
Daily parts and tools inventory counts
Moving equipment or installing new equipment
Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
3+ years in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing/Production, or Food and Beverage Industry
Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical equipment preferred
Position will specifically responsible for forklifts, case sealing tape machines, glue sealing cartoners, conveyors, printers, balers, scales, compactors, and PLCs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines
Sound understanding of using all electrical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment
Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools
Ability to operate a forklift (preferred not required)
Detailed orientation
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
Ability to stand, walk, bend, extend, reach, and twist for long periods of time.
High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education
