SummaryThis co-op internship is a hands-on, real world position, assisting our Electrical Engineers with new hardware design, prototyping, hardware testing, board level repair, manufacturing protocols (Design for Manufacturing), parts and vendor research and embedded software.* Our interns are anticipated to work with us for the entire summer term, assuming quality work. Of course, all positions are "at will" and an internship is not a guarantee of work for a set period of time.ResponsibilitiesLearn and use test equipmentComplete testing on both LED modules and controllersTest hardware using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other test equipmentWork with complete LED sign systems to complete system level testingResearch new or alternate componentsDevelop embedded softwareHelp building prototypesQualifications/Skills:Ability to work independentlyExcellent written and communication skillsMust be at least 18 years of age by the start of semesterAble to work up to 40 hours per week during summer sessionEducation and LicensingStudent enrolled in Engineering/Technology: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Technology, EET, MET, Computer Science or other similarly related degree program requiredMust have been enrolled full-time for the current semester, new graduates are still eligible for this positionWatchfire is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
