Job OverviewThe R&D / Product Development Technician III is an advanced technical contributor responsible for supporting and leading complex product development activities. This role independently executes development work, drives process characterization and validation, and provides technical leadership and guidance to lower‑level technicians.Job RequirementsIndependently build and support prototype, verification, and validation assemblies with limited directionLead or execute process characterization, validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and engineering studiesAnalyze test data using statistical tools to identify trends and determine process capabilityDevelop and update technical documentation, work instructions, and test protocolsTroubleshoot complex equipment and process issues and implement solutions independentlyDesign or modify fixtures, tools, and test setups to support development activitiesLead or support root cause investigations, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to ensure successful product developmentMentor and guide Technician I/II team members on best practices and technical executionSupport development of robust, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing processesWhat Your Background Should Look LikeHigh school diploma required; technical degree strongly preferred4+ years of experience in R&D, product development, or advanced manufacturing environmentsStrong understanding of process characterization, validation, and test methodsAbility to independently interpret technical drawings, documentation, and engineering requirementsExperience using data analysis tools (run charts, SPC, Cp/Cpk, etc.)Strong troubleshooting skills across equipment, processes, and assembliesExperience with DOE, validation protocols, or engineering studies preferredCompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkAbout Te ConnectivityTE Connectivity plc (NYSE: TEL) is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
