The Pickleball Instructor is responsible for running open play sessions and drills/skills sessions at the McFetridge Sports Center.ESSENTIAL DUTIESInclude the following - other duties may be assigned:Instruct both group and private lessons with knowledge of the basic pickleball skills and terminologyUtilize available pickleball equipment to maximize the development of basic pickleball strokes in small and large group lessons.Develop and grow the Pickleball program to meet the needs of the communityNotify Tennis Coordinator of any equipment repairs needed and maintenance of courts.Provide a safe and fun environment that promotes enjoying the sport for exercise and fun.Attract players and help build the program.SKILLS REQUIREDPosition requires ability to:Maintain an overall positive attitude with clients, patrons, staff members, and managementExcellent communication skillsPunctual, reliable, and flexible with hours.Develop and teach lesson plans.Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.Ability to maintain program model that has been implementedEnsuring and following safety measures and regulationsPhysical ability to stand for 4-6 hours at a time while on the courtHOURLY RATE RANGE: $20.00-$25.50BENEFITSPaid Leave AccrualSick Time Accrual401(k) once eligibility is metQUALIFICATIONSApplicant should have 2-5 years previous pickleball instruction experience. The applicant must have the ability to teach fundamental pickleball skills to various skill levels. Applicant would have to be flexible with hours. PPR certification is required.
