(BNI), Bechtel's government services business, is one of the top providers to departments and agencies of the U.S. and British governments. Its successes include many large, first-of-a-kind projects in government site management, environmental restoration, defense, space, energy, and national and homeland security. This position will provide support to the Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) located at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. UPF will be a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar project and will be a first-of-its-kind complex for enriched uranium operations in support of Y-12 missions. UPF is one of the Department of Energy's largest investments in Tennessee since the Manhattan Project and one of the National Nuclear Security Administration's largest construction projects. When complete, UPF will: replace a 70-year-old facility with modern buildings, reduce operational costs and energy consumption, improve worker safety, and provide enriched uranium capabilities well into the future.The UPF Construction project works on various schedules with differing start times, and may require employees to work overtime, weekends, and/or nightshift when a business need arises. Eligibility for this position requires US citizenship; successful candidate must provide proof of US citizenship to obtain badge access to the site. Candidate must complete security questionnaire and successfully clear site access requirements check. All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.Must be able to obtain a security clearance, as applicableJob Summary:In this role, you will develop, coordinate, implement, and administer facility training and development programs including on-the-job training, on-site, and off-site courses and programs. You will help establish training requirements, prepare budget estimates, and supervise training courses and programs. Your efforts will ensure learning goals, schedules, and reporting requirements are met. #LI-EH1Major Responsibilities:Develops, coordinates, implements, and administers authorized training and development programs for a small-sized facility, including on the job training as well as on-site and off-site courses and programsProvides technical expertise and assistance to management personnel to establish training and development program requirementsDetermines, with the assistance of management personnel, the general training and development program requirements to comply with management and/or client directivesPrepares initial budget estimate for training and development and submits it to the Project Manager, Facility Manager, or the responsible functional training managerDevelops or obtains training manuals and instructional aids and materials as requiredConducts or supervises training courses and programsArranges for technical assistance as requiredAdministers and monitors all training and development programs to ensure goals are attained, schedules are met, modifications are made as necessary and reporting requirements are observedEnsures that a comprehensive training records system is established and maintainedEducation and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Applies company policies and procedures to resolve mostly routine issuesexcellent written and verbal communication skillsbuilds productive and collaborative internal working relationshipsknowledge of training records management principlesTotal Rewards/Benefits:For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
