We have an immediate opportunity for a Redhat Openshift Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to our customer's challenging project and one who will thrive in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on expertise and an excellent understanding of engineering processes supporting large, National Defense, Agile software development programs.Work will be performed in Colorado. Please apply to this role if you have interest in relocating to Colorado.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, operate, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x environmentsAdminister and support Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshootingImplement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for repeatable and reliable platform deployments Develop, maintain, and execute Ansible playbooks for system and platform automationSupport CI/CD pipelines enabling DevSecOps workflows (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)Integrate container platforms with underlying compute, storage, and networking infrastructure Apply and maintain security hardening in accordance with DoD and DISA requirementsSupport compliance activities, including DISA STIGs, SCAP scans, and remediationMonitor platform health, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stackCollaborate with application teams to onboard, deploy, and optimize containerized workloadsDocument architectures, configurations, procedures, and operational runbooksParticipate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional technical reviewsPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills & Experience Secret clearance2+ years of professional experience building and maintaining Kubernetes environments using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.x or later3+ years of professional experience administering Linux systemsStrong understanding of Ansible and automation using playbooksStrong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and toolingExperience operating container platforms in a secure or regulated environmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related fieldStrong problem-solving and communication skills Desired Skills & Experience Strong development or operational experience with Docker, docker-compose, and KubernetesExperience deploying and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for DevSecOps (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)Experience developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for automation and orchestrationExperience hardening Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems using DISA SCAP and STIG ViewerExperience with VMware compute, storage, and networkingExperience with Dell servers, switches, and SAN solutions Scripting experience using Bash, Python, or PerlFamiliarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions in containerized environmentsApplication Deadline: March 30, 2026#CJPost#LI-onsiteThe SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
